Fall Food Drive,
On Until October 21st …
The MarkeTo District community food drive is currently underway and doing well. Last Easter, we collected nearly 300 Kilograms of food from your generous donations. Please continue to support us and those in need by helping us reach our goal of 400 Kilograms of non-perishable food items by October 21st. Every donation whether large or small goes a long way to helping those that depend on the local food bank.
Help us reach our goal! All donations go to the North York Harvest Food Bank.

November 2018 Board Meeting
A Community gathering at Camarra's
It Takes a Village
On November 22nd, the MarkeTo District BIA held our last meeting of 2018. We were pleased to receive not just the hardworking members of our board, but also a diverse array of stakeholders and community members. It is always inspiring to look around a table and see representatives from every aspect of a community. This included representatives from the City of Toronto, local elected officials from the office of MPP Robin Martin, local business such as IC Savings or Home Hardware, and Non-Profits like…
4 More Years!
Happy BIA-irth Day
It has been a wonderful 4 years, and following a great AGM on January 30th that saw participation from local business, representatives from the MP, MPP and City Councillor and a visit from our friends at TABIA, the MarkeTo District BIA looks forward to another wonderful year of food drives, movie nights, volunteer work and streetscape to continue to improve the community.

Cold Hands, Warm Hearts and Full Garbage Bags!
The MarkeTo BIA does it’s very best to maintain the beautiful community in which we operate. This can be a challenge with all the traffic in the area, which generates a surprising amount of trash that does not always find it’s way into a bin, and sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and get to work.
Fall Food Drive!
Following hard work and contributions from members of the community, the MarkeTo District BIA was able to attract almost 1,000 LBS (964 to be exact) of food donations for our Fall Food Drive 2018.
All donations were made to North York Harvest Food Bank, and they were very happy to receive the donation. This brings the BIA’s total donations for the year to 3,200 pounds, a sizable haul that will go a long way to helping families in need.
We look forward to next year, and continuing to do our part. Keep an eye out in March for our Easter Food Drive 2019.

As always, the MarkeTo District BIA is committed to the beautification and improvement of the district. One of the improvement projects we are working on as part of our master Streetscape plan for the area. One of the common trends for BIAs in terms of beautification is the installation of benches in their districts. These […]
As has been stated, one of the goals of the MarkeTo District Business Improvement Area is the beautification and cleanliness of the area. This can take many forms, and sometimes is just about the little things added up. Residents and visitors to the district would be hard pressed not to notice the chipped, rusted and […]
