The MarkeTO District BIA is proud to present the final MarkeTO District Streetscape Master Plan. After four years of development and consultations with City Staff and members of the BIA, an improved streetscape will showcase the unique shopping and dining experiences available on the street, and cement MarkeTO as a destination shopping district.

The Streetscape Master Plan was prepared by thinc design, with support by members of the BIA, and funded by the MarkeTO District BIA with the support of the City of Toronto.

The MarkeTO Streetscape Master Plan helps identify a long-term vision for streetscape improvements that can transform this section of Dufferin Street into a lively marketplace, these changes include:

• Six designated seating areas;
• Formal street parking;
• WI-FI enabled banner poles;
• Antique clocktower;
• Tree and catenary lighting;
• Wall mural art feature;
• Enhanced greenery and more.

Over the next 5-15 years, the changes and improvements established by the Streetscape Master Plan will be implemented through continuous coordination with local property and business owners, City Staff, and the Councillor’s office. Investments by the BIA into capital upgrades will be phased. Funding commitments by the BIA into these projects will, in most cases, be cost-shared 50/50 with the City of Toronto.
